Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the HomeFix Toronto application (app.homefixtoronto.ca, "the App"), operated by HomeFix Toronto ("we", "us"), collects and how we use it. The App is a project-management tool for renovation contractors and the people they work with.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile photo from your Google account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Content you enter. Customers, projects, tasks, schedules, cost and material estimates, team members, activity-feed posts and replies, and any photos you upload.
- Usage data. Basic technical logs (e.g. request times, error reports) generated by our hosting providers.
How we use it
- To provide and operate the App — storing your data, showing it to the people you have given access, and generating quotes and reports.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To diagnose and fix problems.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see your data
- Other members of your organisation and project, according to the roles and permissions your organisation's administrator sets.
- Anyone you deliberately share a project's read-only progress link with. That link shows project status, task names, team names and photos.
- Our service providers, who process data only to run the App: Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage) and Cloudflare (application hosting). Both act under their own security and privacy commitments.
- Where required by law.
Data storage and security
Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access is restricted by authentication and per-project permission rules.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data by emailing the address below; we will action the request within 30 days, except where we must retain records to comply with the law.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. If you are in a jurisdiction with additional data-protection rights (for example under Canada's PIPEDA), those rights apply.
Cookies
The App uses cookies and local browser storage only to keep you signed in and remember interface preferences. It does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Children
The App is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
